Juvenile Justice

Scientific research, the United States Supreme Court, and society as a whole has acknowledged that juveniles are significantly different than adults and thus should be treated differently in the justice system. Delinquent behavior is a stage that most youth will outgrow thus, one of the core principles of the juvenile justice system is rehabilitation. Here at CCJJ we have the Utah Board of Juvenile Justice, the Juvenile Justice Oversight Committee, and the Racial and Ethnic Disparities Collaborative to advance policies and practices that promote a just and equitable juvenile system.
